The toy of the week is the Blue King Pleasure Scepter and I have to say that pictures of it were actually slightly intimidating. (My significant other) commented that the end with the knobs looked like a medieval mace. This toy is rather large, and it's the first glass dildo that I have had the pleasure of trying out. I actually swore that I would never allow anything glass near my girlie bits, but I changed my mind.One of the fantastic things about glass is that you can easily heat or cool it for added sensation play. Putting it in the freezer for an hour or two certainly adds to the overall experience. If you like playing with ice, glass offers a fantastic substitute without the mess of dripping water everywhere. Of course sometimes the water is part of the fun ;) At any rate, it's the same sensation without the wet part. The glass is smooth, and holds the cold well. I do have to caution you about cooling it too much and having it inserted in your body for any length of time. You can actually lower a person's body temperature enough that way to bring on hypothermia, frostbite is another very real concern. To avoid this danger, I would suggest you just put glass toys in the fridge, so that they are not cold enough to cause problems. Or if you put them in the freezer, do not leave them inside the body for longer than a few minutes at a time. If you or the person you are using a glass toy on starts to shiver, cease play immediately and perhaps suggest a hot bath or shower to get the blood really circulating again.
Heat also provides an interesting range of sensations and possibilities. The best way to warm a glass toy is with hot or warm water. If you chose to heat your toy, you should not make it so hot that you cannot comfortably hold it with your hand. Scalding the pink parts is not fun, please don't do it. DO NOT microwave a glass toy, or put it in the oven, toaster oven, on a hot plate, BBQ (I know I'll get e-mails if I don't cover the whole gamut) or anything of that nature. Hot water ONLY people.
Another fantastic thing about glass is that it is waterproof and very easy to sanitize.
Now the specifics of this toy are interesting. It's about a foot long, and it's a beautiful blue color. It comes with a lovely padded 'bag' that you wrap it up in. I was impressed with the shape and weight of it.
I think that the 'ribbed' end was my preference, although the bumpy end was quite an experience unto itself. It felt so strange and smooth inside of me, yet the different textures offered stimulation unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It's quite thick, which I like.
All in all I enjoyed this toy very much. I will definitely be investing in a few more glass toys in the not-so-distant future. This one certainly looks appealing.
